Joe provides strategic leadership at Compass Group by utilizing his legal expertise across the organization to guide the legal efforts of the firm and its portfolio companies. He oversees the execution of acquisitions, including new platform investments, bolt-ons, and exits, attends to corporate governance matters, and supervises any disputes or litigation issues that might arise. As a Compass Guide, Joe plays an active role in the day-to-day operations of all Compass Group portfolio companies by partnering closely with portfolio leadership to deliver practical legal solutions that support growth throughout the entire investment lifecycle.

- Joe has been assisting Compass Group on transactions and other legal matters since 2019
- Prior to joining Compass Group on a full-time basis, he was a Shareholder at an Am-Law 50 law firm
- While in private practice, Joe’s clients consisted primarily of private equity firms and other privately held businesses, where he led countless acquisitions and divestiture
- Early in his career, Joe spent years as an in-house attorney at a family owned multi-national manufacturing business
hobbies & interests
Outside of Joe’s professional pursuits, he enjoys spending time with his wife, four young children, and large extended family, nearly all of whom reside in St. Louis. His favorite thing to do with his family is to spend time at their family farm near Hermann, Missouri.joined cgep
